Scheduled completion in autumn
GOLDBECK SOLAR is planning to build a solar park with an installed capacity of 45 MWp on a site covering a good 40 hectares near Buinerveen in the Dutch province of Drenthe. After the groundbreaking ceremony, the plant is scheduled to be connected to the grid in October after a six-month construction period.
"For us, this is not the first project that we are undertaking as general contractor for Chint Solar in the Netherlands. Therefore, we know the processes and know what we have to take care of. We are therefore convinced that the Buinerveen solar park will be completed within the planned time", summarised Managing director Tobias Schüssler.
As usual, the experienced EPC company is relying on the Astronergy modules to generate energy from the sun. Greencells for construction and Chint Solar as the responsible party to connect the park to the Stadskanaal substation, are the cooperation partners in this project. This requires the coordination of numerous project steps, for which GOLDBECK SOLAR sees itself well prepared thanks to past projects.
Major project in BeNeLux
Together with the Staadskanaal solar park, which is also being built this year by GOLDBECK SOLAR, Buinerveen has a total capacity of 146 MWp. This makes it the largest project in the BeNeLux countries with a direct connection point to the TenneT high-voltage grid.
After construction and commissioning, the two solar plants will supply a good 50,000 households with green energy from the end of the year. This results in an annual saving of 60,000 tons of CO2.
