GTEC German Technology and Engineering Asia Business Outlook enables business leaders to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the competition. Its readers gain first-hand insights into emerging market trends, disruptive technologies, regulatory developments and investment opportunities across Asia.

GTEC also showcases success stories from leading companies in the region, highlighting their journey to success, profit and wealth. CEO Karlheinz Zuerl also provides exclusive articles on Asian countries, offering a panoramic view of strategies in the respective sectors.

"As a leading interim management and expert provider in Asia, GTEC needs to stay ahead of industry applications in order to provide excellent service to its clients. Therefore, visiting exhibitions and congresses is a must to get in touch with other companies and their leaders to learn what they are offering in the market," said Karlheinz Zuerl.

Today's press release is made for C-level executives of the "Future Mobility Asia" Congress on May 15-17, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. In Thailand, the GTEC subsidiary ChiangMai is not far from Bangkok Future Mobility Asia. From May 15-17, 2024, there will be many exhibitors and presenters.

"We offer a wealth of expert analysis that enables readers to make informed decisions, seize opportunities and thrive in the ever-evolving Asian market," summarizes Karlheinz Zuerl.

The Future Mobility Asia exhibition focuses on EV markets. Thailand is booming in the EV market as Chinese, Japanese and European automakers and their suppliers look to take and expand their piece of the pie. Electric boats are also a new market.

For example, Bosch from Germany and Candela from Sweden.

1. About Bosch

Bosch's Drive and Control business unit, part of the Industrial Technology division, celebrated a decade of operations in Thailand and a record-breaking sales performance, cementing its position as a leader in industrial automation and hydraulics technologies in Thailand's key industries.

In 2022, the company delivered its Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) as part of the Smart Factory concept for the automotive industry in Thailand. This technology aims to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and ensure safety in industrial automation.

Bosch Drives and Controls in Thailand is also working to become the center of excellence for assembly technology in ASEAN and Oceania. The division has already played a key role in supplying electric vehicle assembly lines to the Thai automotive industry.

The eAxle systems are a compact, cost-effective electric drive solution for battery electric vehicles and hybrid applications. The electric motor, power electronics and transmission are combined into a compact unit that drives the vehicle's axle directly. This makes electric drives less complex and simpler. It also makes the powertrain less expensive, more compact and more efficient.

Up to 96% efficiency for increased range or, alternatively, a reduction in battery capacity thanks to the use of silicon carbide semiconductor technology.

Bosch eAxle systems can be used in a wide range of electric or hybrid vehicles, from passenger cars to light commercial vehicles. The modular design kit and flexible manufacturing concept enable customized solutions in terms of power, torque and packaging.

2. About Candela

The Swedish company Candela's electric hydrofoil is revolutionizing both recreational and professional boating.

The most advanced electric boat battery pack ever comes from a car. The Candela C-8 Polestar uses the same 69 kWh battery pack as the Polestar 2 electric performance fastback.

Polestar batteries also bring DC charging to the table, meaning the C-8 now combines the longest electric range with the fastest charging times. The result is the longest-range electric boat on the market by a factor of two.

The first flight of the Candela P-12 pre-production vessel in December 2023 was a success, achieving a takeoff speed of 16 knots and quickly reaching its designed top speed of 30 knots in 16 seconds. This triumphant flight marks the beginning of a new, sustainable era in water transportation.

What sets it apart is the innovation at its core-three carbon fiber wings beneath the hull reduce energy consumption by an astounding 80% compared to conventional high-speed vessels.

Once airborne, the P-12's digital flight control system adjusts the angle of the wings based on a variety of sensors, ensuring a smoother ride without the discomfort of motion that causes seasickness on conventional vessels.

Candela began serial production of the P-12 in its Stockholm factory to meet growing global demand. Founder Gustav Hasselskog predicts that the P-12 will reduce total operating costs per passenger kilometer by at least 50% compared to diesel vessels, similar to the efficiency of a hybrid electric bus.

Gustav Hasselskog sums up the significance of this advance: "With the P-12, we're not just offering a faster and more comfortable electric alternative to fossil fuel vessels. We offer operators the opportunity to switch to sustainable vessels and increase their profits at the same time. That's hugely important in driving the transition to fossil-free oceans and lakes.

Gustav Hasselskog says: "The P-12 is a platform that will serve a wide range of customers. Whether it's public transportation, VIP services, or private customers, it will revolutionize the way we travel on the water.
