SystemManager enables the user to determine complete systems and is a system add-on to GWJ´s popular software applications eAssistant and TBK 2014. The new version of the SystemManager allows the import and export of CAD neutral file formats (STEP) for 3D single shafts and for whole system.
A special highlight is the integration of 3D elastic parts. Housings can be imported as STEP files and will be meshed automatically. The housing stiffness is detemined via an integrated FEM and considered directly in the system calculation. Another possibility of an integration of shaft elements as 3D elastic parts is to use a polygon. Because of the automeshing feature and integrated FEM, deformations/stiffnesses of gear bodies or shafts with undercut can be represented more precisely. A further extension is the support of 3D elastic planet carriers. With the new SystemManager version, planet carriers can be imported as a CAD model. The model will be meshed automatically. The planet carriers can be also defined parametrically. It allows the consideration of stiffnesses/deformations of planet carriers directly in the system calculation. This is particularly useful for the calculation and dimensioning of modifications or for the micro geometry of gears in planetary gear trains.
This update includes other new functions such as the consideration of the extension of bearing rings, angular contact roller bearing as a new bearing type, diagrams with shaft 2D geometry, dimensioning of 2D shaft geometry and the implementation of a more accurate calculation method for the harmonic response.
