The new integrated calculation module for involute splines allows to create involute spline shaft and hub profiles based on calculation. It provides the same functions as spur gears (e.g., single part creation, creation of gearing on existing part with or without tool run-out, allows to add manufacturing data to drawing).
New menu items are also available. In addition to use splines for the tooth form, the new version allows to work with circular arcs. This supports the eroding process of gearings. The accuracy of the tooth form can be controlled by changing a minimum distance between points. In order not to create the entire number of teeth, the number of teeth can be specified for the output. In case the shaft (or appropriate part) is parallel to one of the main planes, the tool run-out can be created now (Autodesk Inventor/SolidWorks).
