Introducing ProCut: the battery-powered tool that takes the effort out of tensioning and cutting heavy-duty plastic cable ties

Cable management specialist HellermannTyton launches ProCut, the next generation battery-powered manual cable tie tool for professionals in vehicle production, electrical and packaging industries.

(PresseBox) (Tornesch, )
ProCut is a battery-powered hand tool designed to reduce the effort required for assemblers to precisely tension large quantities of heavy-duty cable ties and cut off the excess strap.

This new cordless cable tie tool delivers fast, consistently repeatable performance throughout the working day, whether on the shop floor or on the move.

Powered by an exchangeable CAS 18V 2.0 Ah Li-Ion battery, ProCut operators can process up to 2,000 cable ties per charge, ensuring uninterrupted productivity. This is the second battery tool produced by HellermannTyton that is part of the Metabo Cordless Alliance System (CAS).

Whether in front of a wire harness board, on a truck-chassis, in a cramped electrical control room, or in the middle of a solar farm, ProCut saves time and effort”, reports Jasmina Prill, Product Manager EMEA Tool Systems at HellermannTyton. “The low-force trigger, ergonomic handle and optimum balance point help to reduce the repetitive hand and arm strain particularly associated with processing heavy-duty plastic cable ties.

Unlike manual hand tools that require multiple lever pulls, ProCut’s one-touch electronic trigger delivers fast, consistent and user-friendly performance. Operators simply slide the nosepiece onto the strap behind the head of the looped cable tie and lightly press the trigger. The tool then precisely tensions and cuts without any kickback. A second trigger button on the back of the tool comes in handy when the bundle is difficult to reach.

Benefits at a glance
  • Tensions and cuts heavy-duty plastic cable ties from 4.6 to 13.5 mm width.
  • Low-force trigger and soft grip means no strain from pulling or recoil.
  • Automatically calibrates at 16 tension settings for repeatable consistency.
  • Uses replaceable 18V 2.0 Ah CAS battery packs compatible with over 400 other tools.
