At the SPS IPC Drives trade fair in Nuremberg, the company will present for the first time the latest “CPK” version of its automatic cable tying system Autotool 2000 (AT2000 CPK).
AT2000 CPK is employed to bundle and fix cables, pipes, hoses or packaging with automated process reliability.
“We have refined and optimised our proven AT2000 platform in close cooperation with customers“, said Gisbert Gottlieb, European Tool Systems Manager at HellermannTyton.
“Comprehensive production data acquisition, excellent intregrationability, ergonomic improvements and simple troubleshooting menu put the AT2000 CPK in a league of its own.”
“CpK” stands for Process Capability Index, in reference to the Six Sigma quality methodology used to measure consistency against average performance targets.
Comprehensive production data acquisition (PDA) and service software allow for precise fault diagnosis.
Acquired production data and message codes can be retrieved via a USB port on the system power pack and used on a PC to fine-tune the process consistency.
Troubleshooting is possible via simple menu navigation on the device display and is now available in nine languages.
The electronically operated AT2000 CPK is designed for bundles up to 20 mm in diameter. Bands of 50 cable ties or reels with a capacity of 3,500 ties can be utilised.
Binding speed is individually variable. For those seeking accelerated processing times, a maximum of just 0.8 seconds per cycle at constant quality can be achieved. Empirical values show that the time for an application can be reduced by up to 75 percent.
The AT2000 CPK is extremely reliable. The tool will process over a million bundle cycles before it needs to be serviced.
The tensioning drive is electronically controlled and monitored in order to support the high level of reproducible bundling results.
The removable handle makes it simple to integrate the tool into fully automated production lines.
AT2000 CPK can also be fitted to any stationary or mobile use case using the optional Bench Mount kit or Overhead Suspension.
The ergonomically optimised suspension arm significantly improves comfort for manual users.
Visitors to the SPS IPC Drives trade fair in Nuremberg can experience the new Autotool CPK in action at the HellermannTyton booth (367) in Hall 5.
