HellermannTyton launches cable ties made from 100% recycled material

Cable management specialist HellermannTyton is now offering its customers a more sustainable choice by manufacturing its high-performance cable ties entirely from post-industrial recycled nylon.

(PresseBox) (Tornesch, )
HellermannTyton, a global leader in industrial cable management solutions, announces a sustainability upgrade to its most popular cable ties: T- and OS-Series cable ties are now also available in Europe manufactured entirely from post-industrial recycled (PIR) polyamide 6.6 (PA66HIRHS).

The recycled PA66 used in these cable ties offers an excellent balance of strength, flexibility, and resistance to chemicals, oils, and abrasion. This makes them suitable for a wide range of demanding applications, particularly in the automotive and electrical installation industries.

"These cable ties are an important milestone on our sustainability journey," reports Richard Rands, Senior Product Manager at HellermannTyton. "We're reducing waste while providing high-performance products that help our customers meet their own sustainability goals without compromising on quality or reliability. It’s a win-win situation – performance and responsibility in one bundle."

Benefits of the upgraded T- and OS-Series cable ties include
  • 100% recycled material: Supporting circular economy efforts and reducing reliance on new plastics.
  • High durability: Tensile strengths from 80N to 535N, ensuring reliability in demanding environments.
  • Resistance to abrasion and chemicals: An ideal alternative in many electrical and industrial applications.
  • Ready-to-use out of the bag: No moisture conditioning required before use.
  • Reduced carbon footprint: Lower CO₂ emissions compared to non-recycled nylon materials.
By successfully incorporating 100% recycled PA66 into its production process, HellermannTyton demonstrates its commitment to delivering climate-conscious solutions at industrial scale and quality.

Sample cable ties are available on request for a no obligation performance evaluation. Find out more about how these cable ties can enhance sustainable practices at https://www.hellermanntyton.com/100pir
