The MD655: A new mobile radio from Hytera

Hytera clearly banks on intuitive operation and compact design with the new mobile radio MD655.

The area of DMR mobile radios is also part of the focus of the worldwide renowned manufacturer of mobile radios Hytera in 2014. The product portfolio is being expanded by the MD655 and the MD655G, which also includes GPS, and is now available on the European market.

The mobile radio is very slimmed down and compact with respect to its design. To be able to act intuitively and quickly in the vehicle, the mobile station is controlled entirely via the handheld microphone. This allows the user more freedom for operation and, in particular, expands the installation options inside the vehicle. Additional properties of the MD655 are:
  • Optional analog or digital operation
  • Data services, such as text messages, group text messages or control of the mobile station via an API
  • Versatile voice calls, such as individual call, group call, broadcast call, emergency call, data call
  • Secure DMR encryption
  • Upgradeable software
In addition, the MD655 features an expansion interface to which applications developed by partners as well as accessories can be connected.
