Resistant coating systems for offshore rotor blades
In the offshore sector, rotor blades for wind turbines are expected to withstand 20 years of operation without degradation. Wind speeds of up to 500 km/h act on the blade tips. In addition, extreme influences such as salt water and rain stress the huge blades. By using the silanized high-performance fillers SILBOND®, MICROSPAR® and TREMIN®, the resistance to rain erosion of rotor blade coatings can be significantly increased. This extends maintenance intervals and saves considerable associated costs.
Environmentally friendly corrosion protection
In a comprehensive series of tests, zinc phosphate in corrosion protection formulations was completely or partially replaced by mineral fillers. The formulations in which surface-treated fillers TREMIN® wollastonite or TREFIL® phlogopite were used showed the best results. By using a filler combination of TREMIN® and Chinafill kaolin, the formulation can be formulated not only in a more environmentally safe way but also at a lower cost.
Scratch-resistant, glossy wood clear lacquers
Transparent coatings are widely used in the furniture industry and parquet coating. Abrasion resistance, transparency, processability and gloss of the filled systems often play a major role here. With TREFIL® 1313 Anhydrite, good processing viscosity and good transparency are achieved even at high filling levels. MICROSPAR® makes wood surfaces shine.
