humanIT presented its software, which is designed to help business users easily analyze large quantities of data ad hoc, under the topic “Self-service BI” at the BARC BI Forum. Visitors were particularly impressed by the software’s capabilities for rapid data processing. In addition to directly presenting complete datasets as a manageable basis for analysis, InfoZoom quickly calculates results from many different data sources. To meet the dynamic requirements of day-to-day business, more and more business users require and are even demanding easier and more flexible ways to analyze their data.
Questions about InfoZoom’s comfortable user interface and integration capabilities stood in the focus of the tradeshow visitors. In particular, humanIT’s demo presentation of its planned integration of InfoZoom into Pentaho Data Integration (ETL) aroused interest. These plug-ins support the integration of complex data structures with a high level of automation and for processing results downstream.
Stephan Hofer, who is responsible for marketing at humanIT, was delighted by the positive feedback of the tradeshow visitors. “When we see such strong interest in our software for business users, we know that we are on the right track,” he explained. “Today’s BI users know what kind of IT support they want for everyday tasks and, therefore, will continue to be a driving force in the self-service BI movement. That suits us just fine because this ‘new’ concept has been the focus of our development from the beginning.”
