IHSE’s award entry is for the Draco tera 576 port KVM switch that provides broadcasters and post production facilities with a massive KVM frame supporting 4K Video resolutions and USB 3.0 with instantaneous switch response for 24/7, mission critical applications.
Peter White, Chief Executive, IABM says: “We’re delighted to announce the shortlisted candidates in our nine categories and highlight these pioneering products and services. Overall, the number and quality of entries are truly indicative of the talent and creativity inherent in the industry today. And, as we transition through some significant change, innovation and forward thinking have never been more important.”
Enno Littmann, managing director of IHSE said: “KVM matrix switches are having a profound effect on the design and evolution of broadcast and post-production facilities. They facilitate greater flexibility, operator efficiency and convenience by streamlining the broadcast workflow. The Draco tera 576 port KVM switch is our largest yet, in a range starting at 8 ports, and was created to meet market demand for massive switches. These types of switch allow all broadcast devices within studios, edit suites or OB vans to be connected directly to every workstation. So the facility can be configured in a way that best fits the workflow and the task in hand.”
Shortlisted entries will be judged by a panel of independent specialists chaired by John Ive, Director of Business Development and Technology, IABM. Winners will be announced at the IABM reception and awards ceremony at IBC in Amsterdam on Saturday, 12 September at 18h30.
