With the new mounting solution from iiM AG, Cognex® cameras of the latest In-Sight 7000 series (76xx, 78xx and 79xx) can be integrated easily, safely and industry-compatibly into a wide variety of applications in conjunction with the extensive LUMIMAX® Lighting portfolio. The mounting solution includes
- the LUMIMAX® adapter plate LAP-IS7x-GEN2
- the IS7x-GEN2 protective tube and
- the IS7x-GEN2 tube extension.
The supply voltage and the camera‘s trigger signal are fed to the lighting system with the additional LUMIMAX® T1-Adapter cable. This compact plug-and-play solution makes it easy to electrically start the LUMIMAX® lighting system, both in pulse and flash mode.
To protect the lens and camera, the protective tube can also be mounted to the adapter plate. The protective tube can be gradually expanded 25 mm at a time with one or more tube extensions and can thus also be used for longer lenses. Much like the adapter plate, the protective tube and tube extension are suitable for a high protection class (IP64).
As a further mounting solution for Cognex® systems, iiM AG introduces the LUMIMAX® verification adapter LVA-DM36x. This adapter connects the Dataman barcode reader of the 360 series to the dome, coaxial and bar lights of the LUMIMAX® brand. The stable construction consisting of a reading device and lighting can be easily replicated on all reading and verification stations. The mounting system also allows the lighting system to be reproducibly swivelled in and out. The adapter in combination with the listed LUMIMAX® Lighting systems thus offers a flexible solution for standardised reading, verification or grading of DMC codes.
The LUMIMAX® product family has also grown in the LED Lighting area:
- LED Flash Lighting of the L series and the external FLC1 and FLC2 flash controllers are now also available with a flash duration of 750 μs. This means that up to 10 images can be recorded per second. The light-intensive flash lighting systems are predestined for difficult applications, especially for highly light-absorbing objects and for tests from a long distance.
- The wavelength regions of all LG and LGCB series Area Lighting Systems are expanded – these lighting systems are now available as standard in the light colors red (625 nm), blue (470 nm), green (528 nm), infrared (850 nm) and white (6000 K). The test criteria can now be displayed in rich contrast in almost every application.
- For all LGCB series Lighting Systems that are ideally suited for reflected light applications thanks to the LightGuide technology and camera hole, diffuse light control is now also standard in addition to collimated light control. Test objects with either reflective or uneven surfaces can be inspected with these.
