The new President for Ingram Micro Europe, Gerhard Schulz, has revised his European leadership team in an effort to strengthen the organizational set-up. The change is centered around empowered country operations that operate close to the business. This empowerment is accomplished through fostering strong ties with the customers and vendors and through the sole focus and responsibility for a portfolio of business enabling profitable growth.
In order to implement a consistent go-to-market approach, a new country organizational set-up has been adopted and consists of 5 geographical areas:
- The existing DACHH cluster headed by Marcus Adae
- The Southern Europe cluster covering France, Italy and Spain with Christian Bittebierre at the helm
- Benelux cluster where Eric Segers is promoted to VP Benelux
- UK/Ireland region is headed by Brent McCarty VP UK/Ireland
- Derrick Wood, Executive Director Sweden will now report to Gerhard Schulz
In addition to the country cluster changes, Ernesto Schmutter and Sabine Howest have been asked to join the European leadership team. Ernesto Schmutter will assume the role of Executive Director International Businesses and Sabine Howest becomes the Executive Director Strategic Partner Relations and Business Intelligence Europe.
As a consequence Vincenzo Baggio and Johan Vandenbussche have decided to leave to pursue opportunities outside Ingram Micro. Gerhard Schulz comments 'I want to thank them for their valuable contributions and commitment over the past years to our business. I wish them all the best in their careers. With the implementation of this management structure, we take an important step towards our objectives. I'm pleased we have such a capable leadership team to support profitable growth across the region. "
Vincenzo Baggio added ' I thoroughly enjoyed working with our vendor and international customer community over the years and I want to express my gratitude to my Partner Development team and the executives within Ingram Micro that supported my execution. I wish you all the best in the future.'
Johan Vandenbussche said 'It has been a pleasure to work for Ingram Micro during the past 15 years. I enjoyed working with multiple team in diverse geographies and would like to thank them all for the achievements we had and I wish you all a lot of success going forward.'
