- 7,5% weniger Neuzulassungen als in den ersten drei Monaten des Vorjahres

Europas Neufahrzeugmärkte konnten auch im März keinen positiven Trend vermelden. Nach Angaben des internationalen Marktbeobachters JATO Dynamics in Limburg lagen die Neuzulassungen 7,1 % hinter denen des Vorjahresmonats. Im ersten Quartal ging der Absatz verglichen mit dem Vorjahr sogar um 7,5% zurück. Gute Geschäfte konnten Deutschland und Großbritannien verzeichnen. Gewohnt souverän: Volkswagen mit seinem Golf. Den zweiten Platz belegte der Ford Fiesta.
"Die französischen und italienischen Massenhersteller Renault, Peugeot, Citroën und Fiat sind von den anhaltenden wirtschaftlichen Problemen besonders betroffen", sagt Gareth Hession, Vizepräsident von JATO Research. "Ihre Binnenmärkte mussten im ersten Quartal einen Verlust von über 200.000 Einheiten hinnehmen."
"Es ist wichtig, die Anziehungskraft von neuen Produkten, von Premium-Marken und sogenannten Crossover-Fahrzeugen auch in einem schwierigen europäischen Automarkt zu erkennen", so Hession. "Mercedes C-Klasse, die neue 1er-Reihe von BMW und Nissan Juke konnten alle ihre Absatzzahlen im letzten Quartal vergrößern."
