In autumn last year, the Schneider Group, a global leader in the production of high-precision lenses, took over the operations of Göttingen-based ISCO, a specialist in the field of cinema projection lenses and specialized lenses. After one year, the company is so well integrated into the Schneider Group that B+W Filterfabrik Johannes Weber GmbH & Co. KG, the company responsible for managing the business within the group, is now changing its name to Schneider Kreuznach Isco Division GmbH.
On 1 September 2009, Ewald Jerch, Head of Production at the Schneider Group, was appointed as additional managing director of the new company. "We already have captured significant synergies in purchasing, R&D and production. Now we are in a stronger position to penetrate new market segments", says Ewald Jerch. In a next step, the cinematography and home cinema business lines will be developed further.
