Mr. Morris succeeds Eddie Minshull, who as previously announced will remain with the company acting in an advisory capacity until the conclusion of the third fiscal quarter ending September 30, 2008. As a member of the Juniper executive management team reporting directly to Scott Kriens, Mr. Morris assumes full responsibility for leading the global field operations organizations and serving more than 30,000 Juniper customers around the world.

Mr. Morris, 47, joins Juniper Networks from Pay By Touch, where from 2005 to 2008 he served in the roles of chief operating officer and chief executive officer respectively. Pay By Touch, a pioneer in biometric payment solutions, served more than four million customers, who could, at the swipe of a finger, conveniently pay for purchases and/or cash checks across a network of thousands of retail locations in the U.S., U.K. and Singapore. Over the course of 23 years, Mr. Morris served with the IBM Corporation in a range of senior leadership team assignments that included serving on IBM's Global Marketing Council. Mr. Morris's background at IBM includes work in global sales, marketing, and strategy, as well as extensive experience in the Asian theater. In his most recent assignment, Mr. Morris served as vice president and general manager, Distribution Sector, Americas, with responsibility for a revenue budget in excess of $4 billion USD (sales of hardware, software, consulting, outsourcing, services) and serving clients across the Americas in the retail, consumer goods, airline, hotel, shipping and gaming industries. Mr. Morris serves as vice chairman on the Board of Directors for ANMSoft, a private information technology service company headquartered in Mumbai, India and as a member of the Advisory Board for Smart Technology Services, a private information technology services company based in Chicago, Illinois.
