Functional safety is an integral component of SystemOne CM and effectively supports the machine safety stipulated by the Machinery Directive. This system includes a full-scale safety control system that can be equipped with up to 32 safe on-board I/Os. This safety program manages not only the safe I/Os but also the required safe movements in the drive controllers. Communication is via EtherCAT FSoE. The drive controllers implement standard axis-related safety features from STO with SBC up to SLS and SLP directly and with quick response times. SystemOne CM includes the built-in control system MotionOne which comes with a scalable processor power from 1.3 GHz (Intel Atom) to 2.2 GHz (Intel Core i3); it can be used for simple control tasks as well as for dynamic and complex applications. The CNC function packages that are included are based on LTI Motion's own andronic CNC kernel that is renowned for its speed and flexibility. It is used successfully for applications such as eroding, laser processing, and grinding.
