In the new version of the software tools for Oracle databases, KeepTool optimizes the protection of passwords used for database connections. These passwords have already been stored in encrypted form. New in version 16.2, these passwords are additionally protected with a master key using AES-256 encryption. KeepTool has written a separate blog article on this security-relevant topic.
In addition, KeepTool has once again responded to customer requests and implemented numerous improvements, including
- Extension of automatic code completion
- Embedding SQL queries when creating reports
- Activation of DPI scaling per monitor in the integrated editor component
‘Version 16.2 takes account of the continuously increasing security requirements with its extended password protection,’ says Rolf Grünewald, CEO and founder of KeepTool.
KeepTool 16.2 is now available for download.
