- C 782 volume swap body with sliding tarpaulin at the side and a tarpaulin portal
- Quicker and easier loading and unloading of 3,000-millimetre high goods – from the side and the rear
- New support frame saves time during rear loading and unloading
Chassis and floor
The chassis is optimised for payloads and is highly stable thanks to the sophisticated arrangement of cross beams. In addition, the full-width cross beams optimally and evenly distribute the payload across the loading platform. The floor load-bearing capacity of the Swap Mega allows a fork-lift axle load of 5,460 kilograms. The standard rigid support legs provide a pick-up height of 970 millimetres. There is a 2-in-1 profile mounted on the external frame. This serves as a 12-millimetre high pallet stop above the loading edge, and provides lashing options with a total of 46 lashing holes on each side, with 2,000 kilograms of tensile force per hole.
Patent pending: sophisticated new body
To enable loading and unloading of 3,000-millimetre high goods from both the side and rear, even when the portal is closed, the Swap Mega offers an innovative, patent-pending solution: a split, end support frame that is easy to lift, even when unloading from the rear. When opening the portal, a mechanism consisting of a steel cable with securing bolts, is automatically activated via an over centre tension strap, allowing the support frame to be lifted. This automatic system is intelligently integrated into the tarpaulin back wall without any additional components. This allows the driver to load and unload easily at the rear, without time-consuming and cumbersome manual intervention.
Cathodic dip-paint coating: lasting protection from corrosion
As with all Kögel vehicles for the forwarding industry, the entire vehicle frame on the Kögel Swap Mega has long-term corrosion protection provided by nano cathodic dip-paint coating and subsequent painting.
