A-Z index as well-known from technical books – now available for SharePoint portals
The app offers additional navigations that are well-known from technical books, now based on existing taxonomies, terms or hashtags managed in the SharePoint Term Store. It makes it as easy as possible to find desired information for users, that don't know, where the information is originally located. Additionally the app can be used as some kind of company-wide glossary, very helpful for employees to find a common corporate language and understanding within the enterprise.
“The new app will help Microsoft SharePoint users to reduce the amount of time wasted searching for information and focus on more important functions of their jobs,” Frank Daske – Business Development Manager at Layer2 - said. “It simply saves time and money and helps to unlock the potential benefits of the existing SharePoint platform.”
100% compliant with the Sharepoint 2013 App Model – Certified by Microsoft
The app was among the first third-party developed solutions that are certified by Microsoft to be available via the new Microsoft Office App Store. The App is 100% based on the SharePoint Enterprise Metadata Management API and follows completely the new App concept of Microsoft SharePoint 2013. It uses client-side HTML5 and Java Script only. No data is transmitted to any 3rd party site for processing.
Free evaluation and flexible cost-effective licensing
The app can simply be added to any Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Edition, on-premise or in the Microsoft cloud for cost-free evaluation. It can be licensed very flexible and cost-effective per user (7.99 US$) or generally for the scope of the App. For users of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 a similar Web Part is available. More information you will find at the English product pages at www.layer2.de or directly in the Microsoft Office App Store.
