The new MicorMIG mobile is 63.5 cm long, 31.1 cm wide, and 54.7 cm high. It weighs barely 35 kilograms. Sporting two handles, it can be ergonomically carried by two persons, while its stable housing will securely protect it at falls from heights of up to 35 cm. Thus, the MicorMIG mobile’s compact build is ideal for flexible use in assembly, on the construction site, on ships, or simply for some quick repairs in line and group manufacture. It can just as well be used as a full, stationary workshop machine, however. It does not require welders to make do without any amount of welding performance previously offered by the conventional MicorMIG series for industrial use.
The interaction of a stable arc and intuitive operation allows quick and simple mobile welding with the MicorMIG for beginners and pros alike. Combined with dynamic control technology and pre-defined Synergic welding programmes, all other parameters can be set automatically once material/wire/gas and the welding process have been selected. Each welder can adjust the arc dynamics from hard to soft via the dials, while the ControlPro display will let them keep an eye on all relevant information at all times.
The system's update capacity makes it customisable in its configuration and allows it to grow along with its tasks. Expansions by future innovations will be possible as well. Additional welding procedures, welding programmes, and pre-defined welding jobs can be quickly installed by NFC technology without requiring any external help. NFC technology also makes it possible to set up personalised access management for operating the systems. Parameters can be limited, access restricted, or the system can be locked entirely this way.
The full-process version provides the welder with all Lorch Speed processes which are available with the MicorMIG.This not only increases speed during MIG-MAG welding, it also optimises weld seams and prevents workpiece distortion thanks to high-quality process control. Welding fume emission and noise are clearly reduced as well. The Micor-Twin process is a current highlight here, allowing much faster and simpler welding of demanding exposed welds by using the MIG-MAG procedure instead of the time-consuming TIG procedure.
The MicorMIG mobile is installed in a robust steel and plastic housing that will withstand even high demands in the outdoor area. Easier transport of the system can be facilitated by screwing it on various trolleys or carts thanks to its integrated holding system. The lateral eyelets make transport by crane very easy as well.
Maximilian Hipp, product manager at Lorch Schweißtechnik, says: “Our new MicorMIG mobile knows no compromises. Be it in steel construction, in metal workshops, in the metal-processing industry, in general workshops, on ships, or on construction sites – our new mobile system with its small outer dimensions combines the tried and tested strengths of the MicorMIG series with the flexibility of a mobile, modular solution. It has diverse uses, can be customised to the demand at hand, and is perfectly prepared for future tasks and innovations thanks to its upgrade capability.”
