Exhibition for the Corrugated and Folding Carton Industry: First CCE International was highly successful

(PresseBox) (St Albans, )
The launch of Europe’s only dedicated Exhibition for the Corrugated and Folding Carton Industry, CCE International, exceeded all expectations. A total of 2,040 visitors from 65 countries came to Munich over the past three days to discover a comprehensive range of machines, accessories and services for the production and conversion of corrugated and folding carton. With 110 exhibitors from 15 countries covering a net exhibition space of 3,300 m2, the show made an impressive debut.

A key feature of CCE International 2013 was the remarkably high international attendance, where both exhibitors and visitors were concerned. Almost 70% of the visitors and 80% of the exhibitors were from outside Germany. Major exhibitor countries were Italy, Germany, Great Britain, the USA, France, the Netherlands and China. As for the visitors, Germany was the biggest visitor country, followed by Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Russia, Poland, Turkey, France, Austria, the Netherlands, Egypt and Ukraine.

The first analysis of the visitor survey shows that the majority of visitors came from corrugated board plants and sheet plants (56%). Others were folding carton converters (30%), packaging designers (17%), corrugated sheet feeders (15%) and rigid carton manufacturers (10%). The most important industrial sectors that visitors belonged to were food and beverage, transport and logistics, furniture, cosmetics, electrical appliances and electronics, pharmaceuticals and tobacco.

When asked about their main areas of interest at the exhibition, visitors stated corrugated converting equipment (47%), corrugated lines (41%), printing equipment (40%), folding carton converting equipment (28%), raw materials (26%), machine and plant control (25%) and materials handling (21%).

“The general atmosphere at CCE International 2013 was very positive. Everyone seemed to be very happy with the outcome of this exhibition launch, and many exhibitors told us that the results of this event have exceeded all their expectations. They were particularly impressed with the highly specialised international trade audience who attended the show. We want to congratulate our exhibitors and visitors for this great success,” says Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director CCE International, on behalf of the organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

Exhibitor feedback shows that most of this year’s exhibitors are already planning their participation at the next CCE International, Exhibition for the Corrugated and Folding Carton Industry, which is set to take place from 24 – 26 March 2015 at Messe München, Munich, Germany.
