With Kielce, the organisers chose a location in the centre of Poland’s steel production and metal working industries. Although this region is also largely affected by the current economic crisis, a good number of trade professionals visited BLECH Polska 2009 to gain an overview on recent trends and to source new products and services.
The majority of the exhibiting companies were from outside Poland; they made use of this industry event to gain new contacts and to develop their business relations in the Polish market. In the exhibition survey, exhibitors primarily praised the high qualification of the trade visitors at the show.
The majority of the visitors were senior production specialists, managing directors, company owners and master craftsmen. The main industry sectors that visitors came from were sheet metal products and components (23%), iron and steel production (14%), steel and aluminium construction (13%) and mechanical engineering (11%).
“We are delighted that the majority of the exhibiting companies were able to report that they had made valuable contacts and have had a large number of business enquiries,” says Susanne Rauberger, Event Director BLECH Polska. “For the sheet metal working industry 2009 was an extremely difficult year. We would therefore like to particularly thank all exhibitors and visitors for making this event possible, a dedicated sheet metal working event in a highly important market for this industry sector. BLECH Polska 2009 has shown that the sheet metal working industry is a dynamic sector looking to develop new business opportunities and markets, even in difficult times,” explains Susanne Rauberger.
BLECH Polska is part of BLECH Events, a series of dedicated sheet metal working exhibitions for important national markets, organised by Mack Brooks Exhibitions every other year. Besides BLECH Polska, two further events took place in Russia and in India this year, both with good results.
Next year, from 26-30 October 2010, the world’s leading exhibition for the sheet metal working industry EuroBLECH 2010 will take place again in Hanover, Germany. It will be the 21st International Technology Exhibition for Sheet Metal Working. The previous exhibition in 2008 was attended by 1,520 exhibitors and 69,400 visitors.
