“We want to congratulate our exhibitors and visitors for this success”, says Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director. “The record results of this event, reflects the stable growth of the airport industry. Once again inter airport Europe was able to reinforce its position as the barometer of this industry and the leading trade exhibition for airport professionals worldwide.”
For this year, the Outdoor Area and Hall 4A had been enlarged to make space for more exhibitors and bigger stands. The range of products was therefore even more impressive. The powerful vehicles and large-scale Airbus A380 equipment shown in action in the outside area attracted much attention. With steadily increasing passenger numbers and ever stricter security regulations, new systems to fast-track passenger and baggage handling are traditionally a visitor attraction. Overall, there was lively trading activity throughout the exhibition and the mood was buoyant.
A first analysis of the exhibitors survey shows that an absolute majority were highly satisfied with the results of the exhibition and most of this year’s exhibitors are already planning their participation at the next inter airport Europe which is set to come back to Munich in October 2009.
Next year’s events for the airport industry organised by Mack Brooks Exhibitions are AirportExpo, from 8-10 April 2008 in Las Vegas, inter airport India, from 11-13 September 2008 in New Delhi, and inter airport China, from 2-4 December 2008 in Beijing.
