MatriX Technologies celebrates 10th company anniversary

Within 10 years, MatriX became a global player and market leader in Automated X-ray Inspection

(PresseBox) (Feldkirchen bei München, )
MatriX Technologies GmbH (MatriX), a German-based supplier of industrial X-ray inspection equipment, this year celebrates the company's 10 year anniversary. Since its founding in 2004, the company has grown to become a global player and leading supplier of industrial X-ray inspection solutions serving a worldwide customer base of tier 1 electronics manufacturers and automotive suppliers.

Eckhard Sperschneider, CEO and founder of MatriX, speaking at the celebration event in Munich's Allianz Arena attended by many of MatriX' clients, business partners and staff, said "This is a significant milestone for our company and we can proudly look back on this dynamic development that would never have been possible without the outstanding commitment and motivation of our staff."

MatriX X-ray inspection solutions are used to control the production process and to ensure highest product quality of electronic devices, printed circuit boards and other non-electronic materials. The company's integrated system portfolio is ranging from solutions which provide sample piece part inspection to high volume serial production in environments which demand a high level of traceability and depth of inspection coverage. This portfolio includes Manual X-ray Inspection solutions (MXI), Automated In-line Inspection equipment (AXI) and Non-Destructive Testing machines. All of the company's inspection equipment offerings are based on a single common, in-house developed X-ray software platform (MIPS) that has ever since been outstanding and industry-leading. The company devotes significant R&D funding to continuously enhancing and extending the MIPS platform capability.

"Over the last decade, our inspection solutions have helped a number of renowned industrial customers to significantly increase non-defected production volume, product quality, and overall production efficiency by further securing a solid and fast return on investment. We have been setting X-ray inspection standards by steadily advancing technical innovations and translating customer feedback into R&D. We work closely with our clients to provide each customer an individual inspection solution according to his needs and budget."

It all began when Eckhard Sperschneider and his team, partly working together for years at former Macrotron Process Technologies GmbH, founded MatriX as a start-up for industrial X-ray inspection solutions. Eckhard at last served as managing director of Macrotron. The partnership has grown into a high-tech company with approximately 100 employees at six locations in Germany, Hungary, China, Japan, Singapore and the US. In 2013, MatriX was recognized with the "Best Practices Company of the Year Award 2013", being acknowledged as the market leader in the worldwide SMT AXI market.

With comprehensive know-how and over ten years of experience in X-ray technology, MatriX' dedicated R&D team developed industry-leading innovations, i.a. 3D X-ray, X2.5L line-scan with 3D option and an inspection software covering the complete inspection process including image processing and defect verification. In addition to its well known AXI platform, MatriX recently included Manual X-ray Inspection solutions to become an integrated supplier for all X-ray inspection requirements and budgets.
