Helmut Core
Helmut Core is a new product from the well-known Helmut Adobe project management toolset. Together with Adobe Premiere, it can be run both on in-house hardware (on-premises) or via an entirely cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. Helmut Core includes all the standard Helmut components and supports up to 20 users. Marketed as a ‘complete package’, Helmut Core is of particular interest to small and mid-sized enterprises, as it delivers comparable production capabilities to those seen in far larger production environments.
Helmut4
Helmut4 has already established itself as ‘the’ Adobe project management tool, and can integrate with a range of third-party products for quality management, transcoding, MAM/DAM, archiving and publishing. Helmut4’s biggest strength is its ability to automate workflows and so support editing teams with their day-to-day tasks.
Helmut Cloud
The Helmut Cloud platform marks MoovIT’s arrival in the era of smart video production automation. The logic behind Helmut Cloud can be compared to a smart home controller; the integrated Streams Engine provides the technical foundations, while the business model is SaaS-based. Users who acquire the licenses are granted corresponding access to the applications. The Helmut tools (FX, IO, Cosmo and Housekeeper) are supplemented by other MoovIT proprietary programs such as Review&Approval, the Vulcano graphics engine and the TitleTool localisation tool. The Streams Engine concept allows users to integrate a wealth of additional third-party devices. The flexible networking of these tools on the Helmut Cloud platform creates entirely new possibilities for structuring creative workflows. Entire production and management processes can be planned and implemented automatically – easing workload burdens, creating security and saving resources.
At the IBC, MoovIT will be offering visitors a ‘sneak preview’ of the Helmut Cloud platform, and will host live demonstrations designed to offer a glimpse into the ‘smart’ future of automations and integrations.
Automated Adobe video translation with TitleTool
MoovIT’s TitleTool allows users to adapt videos for diverse countries and target audiences. Simply upload Adobe Premiere or After Effects project files to TitleTool for further processing – either leveraging AI support or performed by individual users using a web-based interface. TitleTool makes localisation fast and straightforward – whether you need to translate subtitles and text layers, adjust logos and visuals, use audio functions such as voiceovers, or make edits to background music. Videos which have already been edited and made available for use are documented in the system, helping users and decision-makers to keep track of projects at every step. Whether you prefer to localise videos in-house or via an external service provider, the question becomes a matter of organisational processes, rather than technology. TitleTool embodies a simple philosophy: your video – your content!
Adobe Inserts Automation
Vulcano is a MoovIT product that acts as a so-called ‘insert generator’ or ‘lower-third generator’, automating and accelerating graphics workflows. Vulcano helps users to edit lower-third content based on Adobe Premiere or After Effects source files. This is of particular importance in the newsroom environment and for sports coverage, since it allows editors to quickly and easily create graphics and transfer them to editing teams. Since Vulcano supports all common editing systems, the possibilities are endless!
Hybrid workflows
Demand for remote access to assets and projects has skyrocketed since the start of the pandemic in 2020. During this time, MoovIT has worked with its customers to develop a range of remote models that have been implemented in real-life projects.
Demand for collaborative production workflows has also risen. MoovIT’s proprietary cloud is a direct response to this trend, providing industry players with a video platform that is better tailored to their specific needs than comparable offerings from other, larger commercial vendors.
Customers are particularly sensitive to upload and download rates – especially with respect to technical capacity and costs. Against this background, MoovIT advises and assists its customers in designing workflows. The company’s portfolio includes a wealth of options; these range from pure on-premises installations, to sub-projects in the cloud (such as proxy editing) combined with on-premises hi-res rendering and archiving, to entirely cloud-based production environments.
Systems integration
When MoovIT started out 10 years ago, its initial core area of expertise was systems integration – and this remains a key focus of the company to this day. New challenges demand new solutions, which is why MoovIT executes numerous systems integration projects every year, either as fixed installations or as part of events for customers from across the sports, broadcasting and media sectors.
