With an installation depth of 508 mm, the industrial computer provides adequate space, such as for four 5.25 inch plug-in modules and one 3.5 inch plug-in module that permits a flexible system expansion. Furthermore, seven free slots are available for accepting additional plug-in cards: one PCI Express™ 3.0 x16, one PCI Express™ 2.0 x16, one PCI Express™ 2.0 x8 and four PCI. A 1000 GB 3.5 inch SATA III 600 drive (or larger) is integrated in the housing. A 5.25 inch DVD-RW drive (SATA), a 2.5 inch SSD drive or an mSATA III SSD drive can be installed as an option.
The robust IPC 96I4508-MBQ87 is designed for installation in 19-inch cabinets or can be provided as a stand-alone unit for deployment in harsh industrial environments. The operating elements and the drive are located protected behind an anthracite-colored metal flap. The mounted air filter as dust protection can be replaced easily from the front. The 19-inch system operates in the temperature range 0° to 45° C. As standard, the computer is delivered with a 600 W power pack (115 - 230 VAC) 80 PLUS; a redundant AC power pack or a DC power pack (12, 24, 48 VDC) are also available on request.
For sophisticated applications that require high computing, graphic and video power, the standard model is equipped with an Industrial ATX Board that integrates the Intel® Core™ processor of the 4th generation i7-4770S (3.1 GHz) with four CPU cores and 8 MB cache. As an option, the computer is also equipped with the quad-core Intel® Core™ processor i5-4570S (2.9 GHz) or with the dual-core processors Intel® Core™ i3-4330 (3.5 GHz), Intel® Pentium® G3420 (3.2 GHz) or Intel® Celeron® G1820 (2.7 GHz).
The 19-inch system is delivered with two Gigabit LAN connections, one COM (RS232), two PS/2, audio, SATA for six SATA III 600 drives (with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5) and a socket for mSATA III. In addition to four USB 3.0 ports (two at the rear and two internal) and eight USB 2.0 ports (two at the front and six at the rear), an internal USB 2.0 stick socket is present. An external DVI-I interface and two DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces are provided for the connection of modern displays.
