ALLPLAN, a global provider of Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions for the AEC industry, has appointed Dr. Detlef Schneider as Chief Executive Officer, with effect from November 1, 2019. He will report to Viktor Várkonyi, Chief Division Officer, Planning & Design Division, and member of the Executive Board at the Nemetschek Group.
Dr. Detlef Schneider joins ALLPLAN with more than 20 years of experience in the international software industry and with proven strategic competence. His demonstrated passion for solving engineering challenges by means of IT innovations deeply impressed me. Prior to ALLPLAN, Dr. Detlef Schneider held several executive roles in the software industry. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at AutoForm, a Swiss-based simulation software provider for the sheet metal forming industry. He also served as Senior Vice President of EMEA operations and for Altair, an international provider of software and cloud solutions in the areas of product development, high performance computing (HPC) and data intelligence. Before taking this role, Dr. Detlef Schneider spent 2.5 years in California, leading key innovations of Altair as Senior Vice President of software development. He has an Engineering degree and a PhD from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
