Aufgebaut wurde das Demo-Lab von den Spezialisten der CEMA in Zusammenarbeit mit Citrix Systems und VMware.
Die virtuelle Desktop Live Demo Infrastruktur der CEMA veranschaulicht den kompletten Lebenszyklus eines virtuellen Desktops. Unter anderem können folgende Arbeitsabläufe vorgestellt werden:
- Automatisierte On Demand Bereitstellung von virtuellen Desktops
- Aufzeigen unterschiedlicher Zugriffswege - Wie komme ich zu meinem Desktop?
- Update- und Migrationsszenarien virtueller Desktops
- Anwendungsmanagement
Die Architektur basiert auf den beiden Produkten VMware View und Citrix XenDesktop.
Für alle, die Desktopvirtualisierung neutral und herstellerübergreifend erleben wollen bieten sich die Möglichkeit bei den IT.foren "Quo Vadis - IT 2009" im Februar in 3.2. Dortmund, 5.2. München, 10.2. Frankfurt, 10.2. Hamburg, 12.2. Hannover, 17.2. Berlin, 17.2. Mannheim, 19.2. Stuttgart.
Bei der CeBIT 2009 im Virtualisierungs - Forum, CEMA, Halle 2, Stand A30 oder in Form eines individuellen Workshops bei der CEMA.
