Since it was first accepted into the circle of "Bavaria's Best 50" in 2010, the owner-managed Middle-Franconian e-commerce business has been characterised by a fast-paced expansion of its European activities. "Printings simply ordered online" is the marketing concept of the online print shop www.onlineprinters.com which markets its high-quality offset and digital printed products through the German brand diedruckerei.de and the international brand Onlineprinters. Today, the company realizes around 40 percent of its revenues in the European business through its six online shops where customers can order the inexpensive printed products online quickly, safely and conveniently in the languages German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.
Strong growth of Onlineprinters from Bavaria to Europe
Already recognised for exemplary and sustained growth in 2010, the course is unbroken. Owing to outstanding turnover increases of 30 percent last year, for example, Onlineprinters GmbH has risen to become one of the biggest online print shops in Europe. "Thanks to the top quality of our printed products, the price policy and the presence in 30 European countries, we see ourselves as a strong partner in the complex world of printing", Meyer further. 85 state-of-the-art printing machines are running around the clock at the Middle-Franconian administration and production site where all standard printed products are produced for customers all over Europe. The e-commerce business already has 200,000 customers with several thousand new customers each month. "We want to further expand our position among the top 5 online print shops in Europe in the next years", Meyer explains his commitment to the European growth strategy.
Qualified employees and an investment worth EUR 9 million at the Bavarian site
No growth without qualified employees and faithful customers. Since 2010, the number of employees in production and sales has increased from 250 to 350 persons in total. "Our employees are the pillars of our success. Our competent team of experts from the classic printing industry knows its printed products and the needs of the online shoppers", Walter Meyer thanks the entire staff of Onlineprinters. Growth needs space: With a new office building and additional production premises, the site of Onlineprinters GmbH in the Middle-Franconian town of Neustadt an der Aisch was nearly doubled over the past two years to reach 40,000 square metres. A new logistic centre is still in planning for 2012. From here, the presently 900,000 parcels containing printed products that leave the factory each year will be shipped to customers all over Europe even more quickly and efficiently. The planned investment volume will thus amount to around EUR 9 million by the end of 2012 making Onlineprinters GmbH at the Bavarian site even fitter for the future.
