OR Soft Jänicke GmbH today announced its Manufacturing Workbench has become an SAP-endorsed business solution. The announcement comes after collaboration with SAP AG over the last several years in the areas of supply chain management (SCM) and advanced planning and scheduling (APS).
The Manufacturing Workbench from OR Soft provides tremendous opportunities for customers using SAP® solutions for supply chain management. As an SAP-endorsed business solution, it is positioned primarily for current customers who have specific requirements that complement SAP applications. The solution has achieved “Powered by SAP NetWeaver®” status and is integrated with the SAP ERP (specifically for Production Planning, Production Planning Process Industry, Quality Management and Plant Maintenance) and the SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) applications, complementing the Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling application of SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization (SAP APO). For small and midsize businesses, it can be deployed as an "Advanced Planning Board” in the context of SAP Best Practices offerings.

It supports a wide spectrum of tasks, from single-plant detailed scheduling to multi-plant production planning, including shelf life, tank and silo planning, up to quality laboratory resource scheduling.
