• Orbis, an NDS company, expands customer portfolio, providing Centrebet with OpenBet™ gambling technology.
• Orbis will provide Centrebet with their sportsbook and call centre applications, replacing existing systems
• Centrebet Pty Ltd was founded in 1992 and was the first licensed bookmaker in the Southern Hemisphere to offer online sports betting, launched in 1996.
NDS company Orbis, the world's leading provider of interactive gambling software, announces that it will provide the privately owned bookmaker Centrebet with its OpenBet™ interactive gambling platform. With an agreement to deploy a new sportsbook system and associated website, Orbis continues to enhance its position as the market leader in the provision of software to major interactive bookmakers.
The new site will replace existing sports betting systems that were developed in-house. Running on the OpenBet platform, Centrebet will benefit from Orbis’s sophisticated single account solution, including management and administration tools along with the OpenBet Call Centre products. Combined with the OpenBet Marketing tools to enhance and control campaigns and promotions, the privately owned Australian company plans to continue its success on the OpenBet platform.
David Loveday, Managing Director, Orbis said, “Working with an established name like Centrebet is an excellent opportunity for Orbis. By building a site targeted at customers in Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, Centrebet will be benefiting from our proven experience in deploying solutions specifically for high volume, established bookmakers. We’re confident we will be able to achieve a seamless transition from their existing system, and we look forward to a positive working relationship.”
Orbis’s pioneering OpenBet software platform, deployed by the world's leading bookmakers, is a complete gambling solution, with customers able to bet on all channels and all products from a single account, all controlled via a single back-office. With OpenBet, customers can place bets on a variety of products – a sportsbook, on-demand, scheduled and virtual games, P2P exchanges, lotteries or pari-mutuel pools – and over any channel – the web, mobile devices, retail outlets, call centres and interactive digital television – all using a single log-in.
Centrebet’s CEO, Con Kafataris, said “The selection of Orbis as our partner for sportsbook software followed several months of detailed analysis and we attached significant value to the business tools inherent in the OpenBet system and the experience of Orbis as a solutions developer. Centrebet has a clearly defined business strategy and OpenBet has all the capabilities of delivering against our immediate and longer term requirements. The relationship with Orbis allows us to focus on our core business of bookmaking, where historically we have built and maintained production systems in-house.”
