The second Off-Grid Experts Awards exclusively concentrate on Off-Grid power supply and energy independence! The Off-Grid Experts Awards 2015 are looking for companies, institutions and individuals that have set inspiring examples in driving forward the energy revolution with Off-Grid power based on renewable energies or made sustainable experiences in the field of energy independence! Phaesun GmbH initiated the competition. The winners will be selected by a jury in cooperation with the Alliance for Rural Electrification and a public online voting.
The Off-Grid Experts Awards integrate four different categories to draw a comprehensive picture of energy independence:
- Category A "Product"
Most innovative technical solutions, that improve or facilitate Off-Grid power supply or even make things possible that were not possible before.
- Category B "Project"
Best-in-Class Off-Grid project or initiative in the field of rural electrification, solar water supply or industrial applications
- Category C "Picture"
Pictures that reflect the key word "Energy Independence" from every possible field of vision.
- Category D "Filmlet"
Both documentary filmlets about the development of energy projects and the description of initiatives as well as abstract movies that touch the topic "Energy Independence" indirectly.
The board members of the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) support the Off-Grid Experts Awards as a jury for the categories A and B (product and project).
The Alliance for Rural Electrification is the only international business association in the world focusing on the promotion and the development of Off-Grid renewable energy solutions for rural electrification in developing countries.
The best picture and filmlet will be selected via a public online voting.

The Off-Grid Experts Awards address developers, manufacturers, public and private initiatives, system integrators, users and all individuals that strive for energy autonomy.
The Award Ceremony will take place at the Off-Grid Experts Workshop 2015 in Memmingen/Germany on 26.09.2015. The glamorous evening event will be the finishing highlight of the Off-Grid Experts Workshop 2015 with an international audience.
Four nominees of each category will be invited to the event and the winners will be announced in the evening. The winners of each category will be awarded with the Off-Grid Experts Trophy and will be published on the website and in international press releases.
