Pilz at LogiMAT 2025, Hall 8, Stand 8B41 - Comprehensive safeguarding for intralogistics

Hall: 8 Stand-Nr.: 8B 41

(PresseBox) (Ostfildern, Germany, )
Hall: 8 Stand-Nr.: 8B 41 At the international trade fair LogiMAT (11.03. – 13.03.2025), Pilz will be focusing on holistic intralogistics solutions, which include both Safety and Security. One focus area in Stuttgart: safeguarding of conveyors. Issues here are safe material handling and the efficient transfer of materials at the interface between the conveyor and the mobile platform. Pilz's appearance at the trade fair is supplemented by corresponding services for the Safe and Secure use of mobile platforms.

In cooperation with NAiSE GmbH, Pilz will also show how comprehensive, secure fleet management can be implemented in combination with Pilz components. On the shared stand, Pilz and NAiSE will demonstrate how the Pilz radar system supports fleet management.

Safe material handling and transfer

At LogiMAT, Pilz is presenting complete solutions for safeguarding conveyors with various optical sensors. At the forefront of the safe infeed and outfeed of material: safety light curtains PSENopt with muting. They ensure that everything runs smoothly. The complete solution for material handling also includes the safety laser scanner PSENscan, which can be installed vertically. This allows greater flexibility when setting up conveyor applications. In combination with the safe small controller PNOZmulti 2, the protected fields for each pallet can be switched individually. Operators benefit from these safe, yet flexible sensor technology solutions.

Making mobile platforms Safe and Secure

The standard ISO 3691-4 “Driverless industrial trucks and their systems” defines the requirements for safety functions, such as the detection of persons. This is supplemented by the Machinery Regulation's requirements for security on mobile platforms, which will come into force from 2027. Visitors to the trade fair will be able to hear about the corresponding service package from Pilz experts. This supports operators who want to use mobile platforms in their production environment. The service package includes the development of safety concepts in the design phase, through to acceptance and commissioning. Compliance with the standards guarantees trouble-free and safe operation of mobile platforms. That ensures the productivity of the entire logistics area. The corresponding training course “Safety Requirements and Integration of AGVs” also provides specialist knowledge on minimising risk.

Secure fleet management including radar

On the shared NAiSE and Pilz stand, visitors can experience NAiSE's vendor-neutral fleet manager live. The Stuttgart-based expert for material flow automation will present its NAiSE intralogistics platform for all intralogistics participants. This includes the NAiSE systems for fleet, traffic, order and warehouse management. The fleet manager has the Pilz radar system at its disposal. This transmits data directly to the NAiSE intralogistics software. In conjunction with the NAiSE intralogistics software, the radar system supports dynamic traffic and process management for all traffic participants. Efficiency and productivity in intralogistics is increased as a result.

Pilz also provides information about its product solution package, including Industrial Security. Identification and Access Management (I.A.M.) clearly regulates access to the logistics areas – from simple authentication to complex access management. As part of the security solution, the Industrial Firewall SecurityBridge prevents unauthorised access to mobile platforms. The Pilz security package thus enables comprehensive safety for intralogistics applications.
