By participating in this initiative, Pironet NDH becomes one of just ten specially qualified partner companies across the World with whom Microsoft is working, with a view to accelerating the positive growth trend in the field of SaaS solutions and implementing its SaaS strategy in the marketplace. The new Skills Center and Joint Solutions package is aimed principally at middle-sized, German software providers and ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) who lack the necessary resources, means of investment and skills required for the operation and sale of SaaS solutions.
The collaboration with Pironet NDH will see SaaS providers of the future being equipped with everything they require for a quick start-up, on a ready-to-use basis: an integrated package of solutions that includes pre-implemented Microsoft platforms in one of the most modern German data centers, Managed Network Services via the Pironet NDH Core Backbone, and a full range of support and services covering everything up to and including the provision of SaaS customer contracts and Service Level Agreements. Simulations of online use and operation of the software solutions in question are carried out under real-life conditions in the Pironet NDH Data Center prior to launch: at this stage all technical requirements, such as bandwidth and performance, are tested and optimized. Subsequent expansion and development of the business is ensured by means of complementary workshops dealing with the marketing and sale of SaaS solutions.
"When it comes to supporting middle-sized software vendors as they convert to the new, online sales model, the key role is played by Pironet NDH and the other partners in the SaaS Incubation Center Program," explains Michael Korbacher, Director of Hosting for Microsoft International. "Pironet NDH can point to outstanding experience and a high level of practical know-how in both the conception and setting-up of on-demand solutions for German middle-sized companies. Both software companies and their customers benefit in equal measure from the integrated combination of network and application operation and from the ongoing, ten year-old success story of Pironet NDH in the field of multifaceted SaaS and ASP reference projects."
This close cooperation in the Incubation Center Program sees an intensification of the successful collaboration between Microsoft and Pironet NDH and its expansion onto a strategical level. "Leading analysts are currently forecasting significant market potential for the SaaS model," says Felix Höger, Board Member at Pironet NDH. "This joint initiative makes the path to becoming a successful SaaS operator shorter than ever. We are looking forward to future partnerships with interested software publishers, since the end result of combining our SaaS partners’ skills and customer proximity with Microsoft technology and Pironet NDH ICT infrastructure is an attractive overall package that offers the customer substantial benefits."
