02. June 2015 - The hydraulic diaphragm metering pump Orlita® Evolution sees the dawn of a new era in ProMinent's process pumps product range. The new Orlita® Evolution pump generation will be unveiled for the first time at ACHEMA 2015.
The hydraulic diaphragm metering pump Orlita® Evolution form an integrated product range with stroke lengths of 15 to 40 mm. This covers the capacity range from 3 to 7,400 l/h at 400 – 10 bar. A wide range of drive versions is available, including some for use in Exe and Exde areas with ATEX certification. The Orlita® Evolution product range is designed to comply with API 675.
The new hydraulic diaphragm metering pump is an oscillating diaphragm pump with hydraulically deflected safety diaphragm. Alongside the PTFE multi-layer diaphragm with integrated diaphragm rupture warning system, an integrated hydraulic relief valve and the new diaphragm layer control system ensure maximum process reliability.
Heidelberg-based ProMinent uses a specially developed diaphragm layer control system combined with the integrated pressure relief valve and temperature control to reliably protect its new process pump from almost all incidents and unauthorised operating statuses.
Metering reproducibility was found to be better than ± 1 percent with a stroke length of between 10 and 100% under defined conditions and after proper installation. Continuous bleeding of the oil chamber ensures reliable pump operation.
High flexibility
The modular construction with single and multiple pump versions makes a wide field of applications possible. Up to five metering units, with the same or different pump capacities, can be combined in multiple pump systems. For maximum flexibility, the customer can choose seven different gear reductions and decide whether the drives are arranged vertically or horizontally. On request, Prominent can customise the pump.

The four product ranges EF1a to EF3a of the new family of process pumps to comply with API 675 provide a capacity ranging from 3 to 7,246 l/h at 400 to 10 bar. ProMinent has a number of drive variants for use in areas at risk from explosion (zone 1 and zone 2 with ATEX certification).
The new process metering pump will be used mainly in the oil and gas industry as well as the chemical industry and in industrial production engineering.
