With a range of up to 35 meters, Pulsotronic's FMCW radar sensors enable reliable distance measurement and object detection for mobile machines.

Mobile applications pose special challenges for electronics sensors and systems. In addition to the constantly changing operating conditions, these devices are often exposed to harsh environmental influences such as extended temperature ranges, high EMC resistance requirements and chemical and mechanical stresses.

Pulsotronic's FMCW radar sensors are characterized by their high robustness and particularly compact design, making them ideal for special applications. Developed on a 61GHz MIMO hardware platform, these sensors detect objects at ranges of up to 35 meters with a resolution of 20mm object distance. Within a radiation range of over 120°, the 128point output signal enables the evaluation of point clouds in a 3D space or of direct distance values. The signal is output via a CANOpen interface using a 5-pin M12 male pigtail connector. Other interfaces are available on request.

With an overall height of just 15 mm, an operating voltage range of 8 to 27 volts DC, a high degree of protection up to IP69k and EMC resistance in accordance with the relevant mobile industry standards, the sensors are suitable for indoor and outdoor use in almost any application. The radar sensors detect distances, recognize movements, measure speeds or monitor application environments. Pulsotronic offers the appropriate optimization of hardware and software and implements specific application requirements together with the customer.

In summary, the Pulsotronic FMCW radar is a powerful technology with numerous possible applications in mobile machines such as forklift and agricultural machinery. Its capabilities in the areas of collision avoidance, object detection and level measurement, combined with its robustness and energy efficiency, make it a valuable tool in automation and process data acquisition. Together with Pulsotronic's application-specific adaptations, the product is an attractive option for companies looking to improve the efficiency and performance of their machines.

Mobile machines are also subject to requirements in terms of cost-effectiveness and resource efficiency. In order to evaluate their work results and develop optimization measures, process data is required, which Pulsotronic's FMCW-Radar sensor solution provides even under the harshest ambient conditions.
