The Gigabit Ethernet interface ushers in a new era for line scan imaging that eliminates the need for a framegrabber and lowers system costs. Delivering data rates of up to 1 Gigabit per second, GigE connectivity allows for fast and efficient data transfer. With common CAT5e cabling, GigE offer superior reach, supporting point-to-point connections of up to 100 meters. LAN switches enable the benefits of multiple processing and further reach can be accomplished over fiber cabling.
Spyder GigE also offers advanced programmability for precise control of gain, offset and bit depth. The camera includes unique features such as flat field correction and correlated double sampling, features that are more common to scientific-grade cameras.
