The car is currently undertaking a re-enactment of the 1911 London to Edinburgh Top Gear Trial, which cemented the Rolls-Royce reputation for superlative quality, refinement and reliability. 1701, wearing the registration R-1075, led a cavalcade of 17 historic Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts on the Trial, dating from 1911-1922. The cars set off from the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall on Sunday 11 September. The event is run by the 20?Ghost Club.
