SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) has kicked-off the SAP® TechEd 2010 event season, the company's longest-running technical and business process conference series. The must-attend event for technical and business process professionals, SAP TechEd enables attendees to get hands-on training, connect with SAP experts and community members, and gain the practical experience and skills needed to drive innovation and get instant value from SAP technology and solutions. In its 14th year, SAP TechEd 2010 will be held in four locations around the globe: Berlin, Germany, from October 12-14; Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 18-22; Bangalore, India, from December 1-3; and Shanghai, China, from December 1-2.
The event series will feature keynote presentations hosted by Vishal Sikka, member of the SAP Executive Board leading the Technology and Innovation Platform group. Sikka will address how innovations such as mobile, cloud computing and in-memory computing will revolutionize the way companies run their businesses, with SAP at the forefront of this transformation - not just in leading the technology development but in providing the path for companies to take advantage of these innovations without disruption. At the event, attendees will see the myriad of ways that SAP is delivering on a product strategy, announced at SAPPHIRE® NOW, that extends the availability of SAP offerings on premise, on demand and on device - all orchestrated as networked solutions on the market's most scalable, feature-rich and stable core platform.

This year, SAP TechEd will feature the first-ever "Innovation Weekends," 30-hour events in Berlin and Las Vegas in the days leadings up to each conference. Innovation Weekend will bring together participants to collaborate using the newest and most innovative SAP technologies to take an idea from concept to prototype. The team with the best working prototype by the end of the event will be invited to take the stage at Demo Jam to showcase their accomplishments.
SAP TechEd will bring together more than 14,000 attendees worldwide this year. Among these participants, the event provides an opportunity for many of the more than 2.19 million individuals who participate in SAP® Community Network online communities - including the SAP® Developer Network (SDN), Business Process Expert (BPX) and SAP BusinessObjects communities - to gather offline.
