The focus of interest will be on classic Schaeffler issues such as efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. "It can generally be said that the requirement to increase the efficiency of drivetrains based on internal combustion engines and their increasing hybridization plays into the hands of a drive specialist like us. In addition to products for increasing the efficiency of conventional drivetrains and a range of different hybrid components and systems, we have also got innovative electric drives in our portfolio", says Norbert Indlekofer, Member of the Executive Board responsible for transmission systems at Schaeffler and thereby refers to the eDifferential developed by Schaeffler.
Rolf Najork, Executive Vice President Business Unit E-Mobility, Mechatronics and R&D Transmissions, as well as Member of the Executive Board Automotive at Schaeffler, will give one of the plenary presentations at the VDI congress in Friedrichshafen on the topic "Powertrain 2020 - What's the role of the transmission".
