All certificates of a PKI are stored and managed with certLife in a central SQL database. The certLife web frontend is used to perform central administration tasks by a certificate manager. In addition, certLife provides a convenient self-service for users and server administrators via web browser.
With the now available REST API, client applications can conveniently use the services offered by certLife, for example, to apply, list or revoke certificates. certLife REST API ships as a web application and integrates seamlessly with Microsoft IIS.
"With the certLife REST API, existing enterprise applications can seamlessly access certificate management services. This can be used, for example, to implement cross-application workflows." explains Dr. Gunnar Jacobson, CEO of Secardeo.
With this extension, the TOPKI platform for the automated distribution and administration of digital certificates from any CAs becomes even more attractive for use in medium to very large organizations.
