The registry of travel-domains has decided to stop the place name program. All place names will be available for registration by eligible applicants since December 12, 2007.
Applicants have needed a trade mark or service trade mark in order to register travel-domains.This changes since December 12, 2007. It will no longer be necessary for customers to receive approvals for travel-domains selected for registration. Applicants will therefore not be required to submit travel-domains they intend to register prior to registration. This policy change does not affect basic or entity eligibility. It will still be necessary for customers of travel-domains to be authenticated through an Authentication Provider.
ICANN Registrar Secura (http://www.domainregistry.de/...) helps now the customers at the pre-authentification and does all paper work for the customers. Therefore it is now easier to get a travel-domain.
