Load management 2.0: Cloud-Backend and OpenADR protocol open up extensive control and communication possibilities
Intelligent load management is used to reduce load peaks when power consumption rises, thus utilizing the existing power grid infrastructure efficiently. Together with its strategic partner Parkstrom, STW is presenting the load management of the future at the E-world 2020 trade fair: The new development features, among other things, a high-performance backend and can be used for both static and dynamic load control of charging infrastructure. What makes it so special is the fact that the load management masters the OpenADR protocol, which is becoming increasingly more important in the energy world. In the future, this protocol will be able to receive price signals and thus enable load adjustment in response to changes in demand ("demand response"). This means, the new load management of Parkstrom and STW is already today ready for precise load control by the grid operator! The system is already supporting the charging stations of Alfen and KEBA, further products from other manufacturers will follow soon.
