• Advanced software generation can easily be combined with solutions for real-time transport tracking and quality control
• Implementation of OSCA is possible in just a few weeks.
• Companies such as Amazon, Luqom, MTS and Wenko use the best-practice solution.
Anyone digitizing the supply chain does not only want a fast implementation of SCM software, but also easy access to other applications such as quality control and transport tracking in real time via the same system. IT provider Setlog meets this requirement with its enhanced SCM software OSCA DC (Digital Core). The software specialist from Bochum will be presenting the solution during the intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT 2025 (March 11 to 13) at Messe Stuttgart. At booth 4C70 in hall 4, the experts will show how companies can use the cloud-based tool to gain transparency in their supply chain and improve management, collaboration and communication. At the same time, they will demonstrate how partner tools from Shippeo and Intelliway for real-time transport tracking and Qarma for quality control can easily be connected to OSCA.
The latest software version of OSCA can now be implemented very quickly. Depending on the requirements, only a few weeks are needed in addition to the installation phase for interfaces and global partner connections. “Especially with the required order and shipment data, OSCA can be implemented very quickly and without great effort,” reports Setlog´s Managing Director Ralf Duester. Companies such as Fynch Hatton, Luqom, MTS, Simplicity and Wenko have recently benefited from the fast implementation. According to Duester, all suppliers, freight forwarders, test laboratories and partners were also involved in the high-speed implementations by the Setlog team: “We are the benchmark with our speed.”
The fact that only a short time passes between signing the contract and the go live is due to the fact that the companies' processes were adapted to best practice examples in OSCA - and not vice versa. This saves the users customer-specific adaptations - and therefore time and costs.
OSCA, short for “Online Supply Chain Accelerator”, has five main functionalities: Purchase Order Management, Global Logistics, Quality Control, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The solution is used by around 150 brands worldwide. The major advantage: customers can use the modules to eliminate silos and media disruptions. Thanks to standardized API interfaces, data can be securely exchanged between ERP, TMS, WMS and other systems of the various partners using OSCA without redundancies and duplicate data entries. What many customers appreciate: The IT tool also provides visibility for CSR and ESG issues. Thanks to the information on who produces which order, the tiers can also be mapped and assigned to the respective order. This gives importers of fast-moving consumer goods, for example, transparency right down to the farmer of a cotton plantation.
The topic of quality control can also be covered via OSCA - for example via the partner tool Qarma. Technicians receive information directly and can enter results from the goods inspection via a portal.
Setlog customers also benefit from the software company's partnerships in the sector of transportation tracking. For example, they can use the “Real Time Transportation Visibility” module from providers and track their shipments in real time. They also receive precise information on the estimated and actual arrival time of their shipments (Estimated Time of Arrival, ETA, and Actual Time of Arrival, ATA). The plus point: customers receive an immediate warning if there is a delay in delivery due to an event in the supply chain. They can react immediately to the disruption and adjust the transport processes. “In volatile times like these, real-time tracking of goods in retail is crucial for competitiveness,” says Duester. In addition to household goods specialist Wenko, e-commerce giant Amazon and Astor Mueller also use solutions from Shippeo and Intelliway. For a whole range of reasons, companies can easily obtain full transparency about the transport status of their goods:
• The tracking solutions can be fully integrated into the OSCA SCM solution in just a few steps via an interface (API); there is no media discontinuity.
• Users benefit from real-time shipment tracking down to SKU level.
• Companies have access to 90 percent of all sea freight shipments and truck transports.
• Shippers remain digitally independent, i.e. they can continue to cooperate with their contract logistics providers, freight forwarders and other partners and do not have to change their service providers.
