The AirCard USB 307 modem features download speeds of up to 21 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps on the 900 and 2100 MHz HSPA bands commonly used in Europe. It can also roam globally on UMTS and GSM/EDGE networks, making it an excellent choice for mobile professionals or digital nomads looking to take advantage of the best possible network speeds in a variety of locations as they travel worldwide.
"From social networks to streaming video, the way people use the Internet for both work and leisure has changed tremendously over the past couple of years," said Jim Lahey, Vice President of EMEA Operator and Enterprise Sales for Sierra Wireless. "We are so pleased to be the first to provide the AirCard USB 307 to Telefónica customers in Spain and to continue to narrow the gap between the wired and wireless broadband experience."
Sierra Wireless introduced the AirCard USB 306 and 307 modems for HSPA+ networks at Mobile World Congress early this year and was the first in the world to make HSPA+ modems commercially available. Currently, Sierra Wireless AirCard HSPA+ products are available on six HSPA+ networks worldwide, and the company expects to launch products on four more networks in the coming months.
The Sierra Wireless AirCard USB 307 is available through Telefónica's enterprise sales channels for (euro)19, with a flat rate service plan of (euro)49 per month.
