Safety comes first in the field of electronic signatures. For this reason, signotec is particularly interested in not only absorbing impulses from the industry, but also in constantly exchanging information with IT security experts. The it-sa 2018 in Nuremberg offers a first-class forum to follow current trends and developments and at the same time to present to the public the benefits of the secure electronic signature with signotec’s solutions.
Maximum security is provided by signotec’s numerous encryption mechanisms. Absolute unique selling point is the secure mode: The biometrics are encrypted in the pad with a public RSA key. For the display of the signature in real-time, forensically irrelevant data is used. In contrast, other solutions known in the market are in this point vulnerable towards attacks. Furthermore, each pad not only has its own and unique RSA certificate upon delivery, it can also generate its own certificates or load customer-specific certificates into the pad. The certificates can be certified by a root authority. PDF documents can be signed directly in the pad rather than in the potentially unsafe environment of the PC. Supported RSA schemes are PKCS # 1 v1.5 and PKCS # 1 v2.1, supported hash algorithms SHA-256 and SHA-512.
In addition, signotec even offers patented security: The electronic signature on the signotec signature pads, along with the encryption of the biometric features of the signer, offers highest security standards. This was noted in patent DE102011050156.
The it-sa in Nuremberg is already the second trade fair for IT security that signotec will be taking part in this year: Already at it-sa India from May 23-24, 2018, the hardware and software products from signotec were presented with great positive response.
