Fokkema brings more than more than 15 years of experience in the IT and air transport industry to the new role. Before taking up his new position Fokkema was Vice President Business Management for Airport Services in Europe, helping SITA maintain its leadership in the airport sector and delivering smart technologies and services to dozens of airports across Europe.
Before that he was responsible for mergers & acquisitions and strategic partnerships at SITA. During this period, Fokkema played a key role in SITA’s acquisition of COM-NET, Workbridge, Traxon and CPS Australia, helping broaden the organization’s product portfolio in key sectors of the market.
