"Companies that are eligible for this award promote continuing education in a sustainable manner, develop individually adapted and innovative forms of learning with the SKZ, and thus decisively advance the plastics industry through professional training," says Matthias Ruff, authorized signatory and Sales Manager Education & Research at the SKZ in Würzburg. The award is always given for the previous year. In 2023, ITW, the Creglingen site, and SKZ will jointly train various career changers and specialists in the plastics industry and set a sustainable course for cooperation in 2024. "We are delighted to receive this award and will continue to rely on the plastic injection molding expertise of SKZ in Würzburg in 2024," says Andreas Zeller of ITW Global Fastener Products GmbH.
Soft facts become more important
This year, ITW and SKZ are again jointly offering established learning formats such as classroom courses: "Further training to become a 'certified setter' supports companies in qualifying their employees and thus contributes to stable and economic production," says Robert Held, group leader for training in the area of injection molding and additive manufacturing at SKZ. "Even in very well-structured companies like ITW, employees experience appreciation and recognition through targeted training, which also contributes to employee retention. These soft facts will become increasingly important in the future when it comes to attracting and retaining employees," concludes Held.
