The SMA Data Manager M, the successor to the tried and tested SMA Cluster Controller, ensures optimal communication, monitoring and in the future will also ensure control of all energy flows. The new user interface enables quick and easy commissioning, monitoring of up to 50 instead of the previously 25 devices (PV inverters, battery inverters, I/O systems and energy meters) as well as even simpler remote parameterization and maintenance of decentralized commercial PV systems via Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS. By providing satellite-based measured values, such as solar irradiation, outdoor temperature, cell temperature and wind speed, no additional measuring devices need to be installed in the system. As a result, PV system operators can assess the performance of all PV systems in their portfolio at a glance, and investors receive a neutral proof of performance.
“On the way to tomorrow’s decentralized and digital energy supply, SMA is developing sustainable solutions that enable our customers around the world to use their energy independently, efficiently and flexibly while significantly reducing costs,” explained Andreas Strusch, Platform Product Manager ennexOS at SMA. “As a central interface to Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS, the SMA Data Manager M is a key component for the intelligent energy management of SMA. It offers entirely new possibilities such as for data recording and analysis. The modular design allows for a gradual expansion of the integrated functions for new business models in the energy market of the future.”
ennexOS from SMA is the only cross-sector platform for holistic, intelligent energy management. Energy flows can be sustainably optimized and energy costs significantly reduced by connecting various energy sectors, such as heating, climate control, electricity and mobility. The new monitoring and control functions with the Data Manager M will be available worldwide from May 7, 2018. You can find additional information at www.ennexOS.com .
